Membership
ATFE is your professional association, dedicated to offering, resources, relationships and education to theological field educators. No other organization combines these essential ingredients for continual excellence in theological field education.
ATFE Professional Conduct Committee
In pursuit of the key values of ATFE, members of the associate have particular professional commitments and responsibilities toward one another. In addition, we are a community marked by “an extraordinary degree of collaboration and a spirit of generosity,” as noted by a past chair of ATFE. Therefore, in 2019, association members voted at the Biennial Consultation to adopt ATFE Standards of Professional Conduct, a policy that formalizes how we conduct ourselves as members and creates a process for any grievances regarding conduct. Appointed committee members are Kathleen Castillo of Christ the King Seminary, Youtha Hardman-Cromwell, retired from Wesley Theological Seminary, Marcus Hong of Louisville Presbyterian Seminary, and Danielle Tumminio Hansen of Seminary of the Southwest. ATFE members may contact any of these members with a concern.
The policy grew out of the desire to maintain ATFE’s longstanding culture of respect and compassion out members extend to one another in mutual professional development.
Please take time to read the entire ATFE Standards of Professional Conduct.
ATFE Membership
ATFE membership operates on a calendar fiscal year and corresponds to individuals. However, in order to keep dues affordable, and because we are an ever-fluctuating group of individuals, we allow institutions to pay dues in a lump sum to cover all their field education personnel for said year. We also have Individual Membership and Emeritus Membership as categories. Dues are payable to the Association for Theological Field Education and may be paid by check or by credit card.
2019-2023 rates for dues:
Institutional Membership (U.S.): $150 U.S.
Institutional Membership for Canada and other non-U.S.: $130 U.S.
Individual/Non-Institution Membership: $110.00 U.S.
Emeritus/Retired Field Educator Membership: $35.00 U.S.
