Leading ATFE

ATFE Leadership Committees

STEERING COMMITTEE

Steering Committee members are required to hold a term of two years. The Steering Committee typically meets monthly by videoconference and generally spends the first year of the biennium following up on charges given to it by the membership. The second year focuses on planning the next consultation. The committee also sponsors continuing education webinars, sets directions for ATFE in keeping with the mission, and shepherds the financial, legal, and governance business of the organization. It’s not a small job, but it is an interesting one!

SUB-COMMITTEES

Research and Publications: R&P is always open to new members and traditionally nominated its own chair from within their membership. This committee focuses on providing publication opportunities and provides a grant to support innovative research.

Local Arrangements: LAC includes members of ATFE willing to work with the Steering Committee and the ATFE Communications/Events Coordinator to execute the upcoming biennial consultation. Members of the LAC typically live near or in the hosting city/location and assist with local logistics coordination. This committee does not require a chair.

If you feel a call to become more involved by leading ATFE in one of these capacities, please contact the SC chair.
